Buying a second-hand home in the Region of Murcia in 2025 required allocating the entire gross salary of 70 months , which is equivalent to 5.8 years of salary, 16 months more of financial effort compared to the data recorded in 2024.
This is according to the study ‘Relationship between salaries and home purchases in 2025’, prepared jointly by the employment platform InfoJobs and the Fotocasa Real Estate Index .
Despite this increase in payment time, the community ranks as the sixth autonomous region in the country that spends the least amount of time paying for a home.
This increase in the economic burden on citizens is a response to the gap recorded between the behavior of the real estate and labor markets in the Region during the last year.
While the average gross salary offered in the community suffered a 2.5% drop in 2025, to 26,485 euros annually –2,207 euros gross per month in 12 payments–, the price of second-hand housing for sale closed December with an annual increase of 29.6% , to an average value of 1,924 euros per square meter for a typical property of 80 square meters.
